We value consistency and commitment. We believe that building strong relationships requires time and effort. We encourage members to stay engaged with the community, to attend events regularly, and to make an effort to get to know other members on a personal level.

Be open about your experiences

Listen to others, share ideas, ask questions, be inquisitive, we can’t do this alone. The non-monogamy lifestyle is not yet part of the societal norms for relationships, and it’s hard to seek support from those who have no experience in this life and are unable to understand.

This is best fostered when we are all authentic and honest about who we are, where were at in our own non-monogamous journey, and are both open to sharing our authentic selves and experiences with others, as well as open-minded to others´ lived experiences and identities.

At NoMo Socials, our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where non-monogamous individuals can build connections and friendships. To achieve this, we expect all attendees to interact respectfully and without pressure or unwanted advances.

While we are proudly sex positive community, our events are focused on socializing rather than finding dates or hookups, and we encourage all interactions to be based on mutual enthusiasm and explicit consent.

We of course welcome you to build connections amongst the community which may naturally blossom in whatever ways individuals enthusiastically consent to. By upholding these values, we can foster a stronger community together.

For some, our events may be the only safe space for exploring ethical non-monogamy, and we are committed to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all.

At NoMo Socials, consent is key. We emphasize the importance of asking before joining conversations or making physical contact with others and respecting their boundaries.

While we aim to build a sense of community and deepen connections, it's important to remember that attendance does not entitle anyone to the time, conversation, or physical contact of others.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Respect the privacy of our NoMo community. Any information shared at our events should be kept confidential, including names, identities, and conversations, unless given explicit consent to share.

We understand that not everyone is comfortable being open about their non-monogamous lifestyle, and we want to provide a safe and supportive space where attendees can freely explore without fear of judgment or exposure.

DON´T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS

We’re all human and each other have our own unique identities, needs, desires, and are at different stages in our explorations in ethical non-monogamy. We ask that you treat attendees the same as people you would meet at non NoMo Socials, by getting to know people for who they are and don’t make assumptions based on their attendance of an NoMo Social.

While we are proudly sex positive community, attending an NoMo Social doesn’t mean someone is seeking casual or any other kind of sex, or are not interested in commitment, or that its ok to engage in conversations of a sexual nature with people you just met etc.

Jumping to such conclusions and treating people accordingly can cause people to feel uncomfortable with you, the community/lifestyle, and the event, which undermines our intention of creating a social space where all feel comfortable, to be question, explore and learn what works for them.
